先日、父がワイヤレスヘッドホンを使い始めました。これは我々の生活が大きく変わるほどの革新的な商品でした。
My father started using a pair of wireless earphones the other day. I would say that it is a revolutionary item, and has definitely changed our lives.
それはなぜのか、まとめました。

買った理由 | Why do we need them?
父は若い頃の職場環境の影響で、軽度の難聴です。そしてテレビを見るのが唯一の趣味と言えるほどテレビが大好きです。そのため週末になると 朝から晩まで大音量でテレビがついています。 父以外の3人は大音量のテレビをいつも聞かされている状態でした
My father has a mild hearing problem due to a work environment he was in when he was young.
He loves watching TV, so loud TV is on all day long every weekend, so the rest of us have been bombarded with noise.
そのうえ、 母、兄そして私は音過敏で、音で非常に疲れてしまいます。そのため父は小さい音量のテレビを注意して聴かなければなりませんでした。それは家族全員にとってストレスが大きいものでした。
Furthermore, my mother, brother and I are sensitive to sounds and they exhaust us, so he would always have to listen carefully to the TV at a very low volume, and it was really stressfull for all us.
大抵テレビには字幕をつけて父が見やすいようにしていますが、全ての番組についているわけではないので、完全な解決策とは言えませんでした。
We usually have Japanese subtitles on when we watch TV, in order to help my father understand what's going on. However, not all TV programs have subtitles, so it was not a perfect solution. It must have been very frustrating for my father, too.
使い方 | How to use
箱の中身です。日本語で書かれた説明書、送信機、ACアダプター、 赤と白のオーディオコード、そしてUSBケーブルが同梱されています 。
Here are the contents. Manuals (only in Japanese), transmitter, AC adapter, white-and-red audio cables and a USB cable came with the earphones.
まずはバッテリーを充電します。送信機にUSBケーブルを差し、充電します。満充電まで約3時間。赤いLEDが消灯すれば充電完了です。
First, you need to recharge the battery on the earphones. You can do so by connecting them to the transmitter with a USB cable. It takes three hours tofullyrecharge the battery. The red LED light goes off when it's fully recharged.
後はイヤホンケーブルをテレビに差せば、設置完了です。簡単ですね。
Plug the earphone cable into the TV, and set-up is done. It's that easy.
電源スイッチを右にスライドさせれば 電源が入り、送信機の緑のランプが点きます。 ヘッドホンの電源はオレンジのボタンを押すだけです。青色のランプが着いたら使えます。
If you slide the power switch to the right, a green light on the transmitter turns on. And you can turn on the earphones by just pressing the orange button, and the blue LED light turns on. That's it! You're all set!
テレビのスピーカーから音を出したい場合には、付属の赤と白のオーディオコードを使います。
If you would like to keep your TV on speakers you can do so by using the white-and-red audio cables.
赤と白のオーディオケーブルをテレビの裏の差し込み口に接続すれば、テレビのスピーカーからも音を楽しむことができます
Plug the white-and-red cables into the jacks on the back of the TV, and you can hear the sound from the speakers as well.
感想 | Impression
説明書によると、満充電で約5時間の使用ができるそうです。しかし実際には平均で9時間くらい使えます。これは嬉しい驚きでした。
The manual says that you can use the earphones for about five and a half hours before the battery runs out, but the battery lasts for nine hours on average. It was a nice surprise.
私も試しに使ってみましたが音が鮮明で、また無線にも関わらず音の遅れもなく、驚きました。
I tried them on myself and I was surprised that the sound was clear and also there was no time lag, considering that they are wireless.
電波の受信状況も良いです。どこまで電波が届くか試しにヘッドホンを装着し、家の中を歩き回ってみたところ、1階でも2階でも、どこにいても音は途切れることなく聞こえてきました。歩いている最中は時々音が切れましたが、気にならない程度で、聞き取りには全く問題はありませんでした。
The reception is also good. I once tried walking around in my house with the earphones around my neck to see how far you can go with the audio. The sound came in seamlessly, upstairs or downstairs, no matter where I was. While I was walking, the sound at times cut off, but it was negligible, and I had no problem hearing.
まとめ | Conclusion
値段は13,766円(税込)と決して安い買い物ではありませんが、その価値は十分にあると思います。
It cost 13,766 yen (tax included) which was definitely not cheap, but it is well worth the price for us.
このヘッドホンを導入してからというもの、とても快適に過ごすことができています。3人はテレビの大音量に悩まされることはなく、父は聞き取りが楽になっためか、テレビを見ることが以前よりずっと楽しそうです。

Ever since my father started using this pair of earphones, all of us are happier because three of us no longer suffer from loud TV and my father seems to be enjoying watching TV a lot more than before because he can hear it more clearly.
