2月12日、日本で2番目に大きい湖・霞ヶ浦を見てきました。茨城に30年以上住んでいますが、県南部を訪れるのは初めてで、霞ヶ浦も初めて見ました。
I visited the second largest lake in Japan, Kasumigaura, on Februray 12. Although I have lived in Ibaraki for over 30 years, it was my first time to go to southern Ibaraki.

海から上がる太陽は見慣れていますが、湖に沈む太陽を見るのは新鮮でした。
I'm used to seeing the sunrise from the ocean, but it was new to me to see the sun setting over the water.

交流センターは公園に囲まれており、その真ん中にその公園の真ん中には石碑が立っていて、帆引き船の発祥の地であることが記されています。
The community center is surrounded by a park, so you can enjoy taking a walk here. This boulder, sitting at the center of the park, says that this is the place where the traditional fishing boat, Hobikisen, originated.

かすみがうら市水族館も敷地内にあります。霞ヶ浦に生息する魚を主に展示しています。でもなぜかオオサンショウウオもいました。
Within the park, there is an aquarium featuring fishes that live in Lake Kasumigaura, but a Japanese giant salamander was displayed for some reason.

公園には噴水もあり、その周りをツグミが散歩していました。
The park has a fountain, and a couple of dusky thrushes were taking a walk.

茨城空港だけでなく、羽田空港や成田空港が近いためか、空を見上げると常にどこかに飛行機が見られました。
Kasumigaura city is close to not only Ibaraki airport but also Haneda and Narita airports, so planes were flying past one after another.

車で数分離れたところに、歩崎森林公園と言うきれいな公園があります。短いジップライン、長い滑り台、ジャングルジム、スプリング遊具があります。
There is also a beautiful park only a few minutes from the community center. It features a short zip line, long slide, jungle gym, and spring riders.

彼とは小学生の頃から付き合いのある友人ですが、私は彼の写真のファンでもあります。私自身、写真が好きなこともあり、彼からいつも良い刺激を受けています。
We have known each other since we were elementary school kids. I am a friend of his as well as a fan of his photography. As an amateur photographer myself, his pictures have always been my inspiration.

こちらは私のカメラa6000で撮影したもの。「弘法筆を選ばず」で、自分のカメラでなくてもすぐに使いこなしてしまうあたり、プロのすごさを感じます。
My friend took this photo with my a6000. I was truly impressed that he was able to take such a beautiful photo with mine.

こちらは私の母のカメラPowerShot G7X MarkIIを使用。私の左側にあった「鳥のフンを写さないで欲しい」というリクエストに応えての構図です。角度がかなり厳しかったですが、やっぱりすごいです。
According to my request, he took this image with my mom's G7X MarkII. I asked him not to put a bird poop on the monument right next to me in the frame, and this is his answer. Incredible!

One month has passed since I have visited Kasumigaura City, but I haven't completely recovered from fatigue. It was, however, well worth the physical pain and exhausion. I truly had a great time!
まだ見たことのない茨城がたくさんあります。春、夏、秋、また違う季節の霞ヶ浦を見に行きたいです。
It made me realize that there are a great deal of beautiful views I haven't seen in Ibaraki. I would like to see the lake again in different seasons.

まとめ | Conclusion
霞ヶ浦を訪れてから1ヵ月になりますが、まだ体調は完全に回復しておりません。しかし、この痛みやだるさがなんてことない、と思えるほど楽しい時間を過ごせました。One month has passed since I have visited Kasumigaura City, but I haven't completely recovered from fatigue. It was, however, well worth the physical pain and exhausion. I truly had a great time!
